Abstract: | This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidopteracollected in 2010 and include remarkable findings from previous years. Theclassification and nomenclature follow the Danish catalogue (Karsholt &Stadel Nielsen, 1998) which is based on the European checklist (Karsholt &Razowski (eds), 1996).Fourteen species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Stigmella sakhalinellaPuplesis, 1984. Many larvae were found mining leaves of Betula sp. in theisland of Falster in south-eastern Denmark; 2) Ectoedemia heringi (Toll, 1934).Three larvae were found mining leaves of Quercus sp. in the island of Bornholm;3) Phyllonorycter mespilella (Hübner, 1905). One specimen has been breedfrom a mine found on Pyrus sp. in the island of Lolland in southern Denmark;4) Coleophora parthenogenella Falck, 2010. This newly described species is foundin four districts in eastern Denmark and in two districts in southern Sweden.Only females are known; 5) Coleophora ballotella (Fischer v. Röslerstamm, 1839).Three specimens were taken in light traps in the south-eastern islands of Mønand Bornholm; 6) Blastobasis lacticolella Rebel, 1940. Numerous specimens weretaken in two localities near Copenhagen; 7) Atremaea lonchoptera Staudinger,1871. One specimen was taken at light on the island of Lolland in southernDenmark; 8) Celypha woodiana (Barrett, 1882). Six specimens were collected atlight in the south-eastern islands of Møn and Bornholm; 9) Ochromolopis ictella(Hübner, 1813). One specimen was collected at light in the island of Lollandin southern Denmark; 10) Platyptilia nemoralis Zeller, 1841. Two specimenswere collected at light in south-eastern Denmark in 1996 and 2003; 11) Marasmarchalunaedactyla (Haworth, 1811). One specimen was collected in a lighttrap in Bornholm; 12) Crombrugghia tristis (Zeller, 1841). Two specimens werecollected in light traps in Bornholm; 13) Emmelina argoteles (Meyrick, 1922).One specimen was collected in a light trap in Bornholm; 14) Phycitodes lacteella(Rothschild, 1915). One specimen was collected in a light trap in Bornholm. We introduced a special list of species with uncertain status two years ago(Buhl et al., 2009: 67). This year one species is transferred to this list: Aethesrubiginana (Walsingham, 1903)(Tortricidae).Leucinodes orbonalis (Guenée, 1854)(Pyralidae) is recorded as introduced toDenmark as larvae with aubergines from Thailand.Unusual host plants are listed for: Parornix scoticella (Stt.), Phyllonorycter oxyacanthae(Frey), Phyllonorycter sorbi (Frey) and Coleophora spinella (Schrk.).The total number of Danish Nepticulidae is now 88; Gracillariidae 87; Coleophoridae120; Blastobasidae 4; Gelechiidae 177; Tortricidae 384; Epermeniidae7; Pterophoridae 46 and Pyralidae 197; this results in a total of 1574 species ofMicrolepidoptera (families Micropterigidae-Pyralidae) found in Denmark. Thetotal amount of Macrolepidoptera mentioned from Denmark is now 965, bringingthe number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2539 species. |
